About

The Village of Ruidoso has begun a project to provide comprehensive analysis, design, and replacement for six bridges located within residential neighborhoods in the Village. This project stems from the original damage that occurred in 2008, while responding to the urgent infrastructure needs of today, wrought by the significant additional damages resulting from recent wildfire and subsequent flooding events.  Several of these bridges serve as the sole access routes to their respective communities, making their restoration critical to public safety, emergency response, and the long-term resilience of local transportation networks. The project locations are:

  • McDaniel Dr

  • North Loop

  • Main Rd 2

  • Sleepy Hollow Rd

  • River Trail

  • Robin Rd

This project will include site investigations, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, environmental compliance, structural design, permitting, and construction of six bridges. The design will prioritize improved resilience to future wildfire and flood events, compliance with current engineering standards, and minimization of community disruption during construction.

This critical infrastructure improvement project will enhance safety, restore essential connectivity, and support the long-term recovery and hazard mitigation goals of the Village of Ruidoso.
